Our resident Aussie, Dave has been a Maui resident for nearly a decade. He spent a majority of that time working as a zipline guide before joining the Hike Maui ‘ohana (family). Dave spends most of his free time with his daughter pursuing outdoor activities like surfing and horseback riding.
Not only does Dave love being outdoors, he also enjoys meeting new people and helping them complete their hikes. “It’s so rewarding to see the looks on their faces when they go beyond their comfort zone,” he says. Two of his favorite topics to chat about with his guests are kukui nuts—especially the traditional lei that incorporate them—and Hawaiian mythology.
