“For the longest time I wanted to work at Hike Maui, and now I do!” enthuses Sarah, one of our local-girl guides. “It’s like my biggest wish was granted.”
Born and bred on Maui, Sarah and her twin sister Rachel competed in track and cross country, but also excelled in academics. She says her degree in business administration, with an emphasis in communications, helps her “understand how people think.” Comparing herself to her sister, Sarah says, “Even though we’re twins, Rachel and I are really different from one another. She’s the serious one, while I like to have fun and be the cut up.”
Sarah’s heart will always belong to Maui. “Here we have the perfect balance of everything Hawai‘i has to offer. Maui no ka ‘oi [is the best]!”
