About 200 years ago, lava exploded from a vent here and poured into the ocean, creating incredible lava arches, grottos and sea caves. The experience of entering a sea cave by raft or passing through a massive lava arch should not be missed. We also cruise through the protected water of La Perouse Bay, stopping to snokel in out-of-the-way areas.
