| KAYAKING | |
| We don't suggest renting kayaks on your own, unless you're experienced in the Pacific Ocean. Weather, waves and wind can be tricky. You don't want to head off on your own towards Japan. Experienced guides teach you the ropes. Novices are fine. | |

Sea Cliff Paddle & Waterfall Hike Our favorite kayak trip is, of course, the one we do. Your kayak guide tours you along the rugged seacliffs of West Maui, stopping at our favorite spots to snorkel with big green sea turtles that inhabit the area. After 2.5 hours on the water, your hiking guide drives you to a wilderness valley on the remote side of West Maui. Here you hike a mile along a rainforest stream to several small pools and waterfalls. You end up in a magical spot below a 20-foot waterfall.

Turtle Adventure If you just want to kayak (no hiking), then go with a guide in a small group. We like the south shore area for kayaking because it is rugged and remote. Not easily seen on your own. Snorkeling is great.

West Side Tour For those on the West Side of Maui, it's best to drive to Makena to do the above Turtle Adventure; but, if you prefer the same thing (less rugged and remote), we can kayak in a shallow, calm area in the Olowalu Marine Sanctuary, on the West Side. The coral reef, fish and turtles are renowned there.
