The Original Ride: Summit to Ocean
From the summit of Haleakala (10,023 feet) you cruise down to the ocean,
never once having to peddle uphill. Anyone and everyone has
done it. It is not difficult. The scenery is the best on island. This is a
guided trip--you follow single file behind a bike leader down the mountain.
You can go at sunrise or early morning.

UpCountry Winery Bike Adventure
Marc was twice a Hawaii State Bicycling Champion. He and wife Karen run their
own show --no employees. He'll drive the van that meets you along your
self-paced journey, and he continually checks on your progress. You get on
your bike at the 7,500-foot level on Haleakala, then
cruise down the mountain through Maui's farm
land and into ranch land. Final destination is the beautifully-landscaped
Maui Winery where you can taste local wines and eat a deli lunch. Most safety
conscious, most personal bike ride on Maui.
Their bikes are the Mercedes of bikes.
