Ute

Our family (9 of us) went with Ute and we had an incredible day. We ranged in ages from 55 to 8 and she made sure all of us had a wonderful time. She was very informative, knowledgeable, friendly and fun. It was a day all of us to remember and talk about with great memories.

My wife and I vacationed in Maui for our 5-year wedding anniversary. While there we had the pleasure and the honor of taking one of your half-day hikes with Ute. It was the highlight of our trip!! And Ute was an amazing guide!! We learned so much, not only about the rainforest, but she was so informative about the cultures and ways of life. Ute picked us up from our hotel and took us on a fantastic tour of West Maui. She drove so we could relax and enjoy the exotic and changing scenery. She stopped the van whenever we asked. We hiked through a dense tropical jungle stopping to sample fruits off the trees. Ute took us to a waterfall to swim and explore then served us lunch.
We saw the real Maui, the beaches that the locals frequent. We saw fantastic scenery on a one-lane road. We had a wonderful day, full of information. Ute answered every question we had about volcanoes, the island and local customs and hangouts.
After returning to California, I have talked many times of our day with Hike Maui. Without question, it was my favorite day of our 2 week vacation.

Thanks for making a difference in our lives. We spent the day with one of the most unique persons we will ever meet in our life. Ute was remarkable. We will never forget her kindness, her care for the group and her love for the land. She impressed Addison so much, and it's hard to impress a 13-year old!

As we think back through our travels around the Islands, we both realize that our favorite part of the 14-day journey was our great hike with Ute. It was magical. Beautiful, lush forest, refreshing water and amazing facts about the culture and plant life of the area.
