Doug

I lived on Maui from 1978-1980. In the three years I resided there I did not learn as much about Maui's nature and culture as I did on the one day I hiked with Doug in the West Maui Mountains. Doug was an mazing guide and extremely knowledgable. He was a delight and when the group exchanged phone numbers and met for drinks a few nights later the topic of conversation was Doug and Hike Maui. We all felt it was the "BEST" thing we did on our Maui vacations.Even though I've vacationed on Maui for the last 24 years I feel that Hike Maui opened my eyes to a whole new Maui! Thank you Hike Maui for making something familiar feel like a new experience!

The entire family would return tomorrow if we could! Our guide was Doug and we could not have been more delighted with the level of expertise that he displayed during our hike. My two sons were right on Doug's heels the entire hike and they relished everything he showed them. The boys came home with the ability to tell their friends that they had jumped off a 30-foot waterfall and seen where the opening scene of Jurassic Park was filmed. Yes, we too put the natural conditioner in our hair and ate the weird and wonderful fruit. I have noticed that every bit of information I have shared with my friends since returning home came from listening to our tour guide. I didn't realize I had learned so much in that half a day till I got home.

We returned from our trip to Maui with great memories, the best by far was the all-day hike with Doug. There were just four of us, great friends for years, and Doug. It was great to learn so much about Maui. Doug was very informative and fun! We shared many laughs along the way (we were laughing so hard, we were drying!), enjoyed great food (we ate it all!), awesome scenery and learned so many incredible things. Doug stopped anywhere along the way for us to take pictures. The swim in the freshwater caves was awesome! We can't stop saying enough about how wonderful our trip was. Than you so much Doug for giving us such a fabulous memory . . . we'll always remember that day!
